Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality patient care. The successful candidate will:

• Deliver direct patient care and develop individualized care plans based on patient needs.
• Assess patient conditions, administer treatments and medications, and monitor outcomes efficiently.
• Collaborate with physicians, interdisciplinary teams, patients, and families to ensure quality care delivery.
• Provide patient education, health counseling, and effective discharge planning.
• Practice within the Ohio RN scope of practice and adhere to nursing standards.
• Recognize and respond to patient complications and changes in condition proactively.
• Supervise and delegate appropriate nursing tasks while maintaining accountability for patient care.
• Ensure patient safety, confidentiality, and compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
• Report directly to the Department Manager with oversight from Nursing Leadership.

Ideal Candidate

• Possesses an active RN license.
• Has 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
• Exhibits strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Demonstrates the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Experienced in providing patient-centered care and managing multiple priorities effectively.
• Commits to patient safety, quality outcomes, and upholding professional nursing standards.

Nurse to Patient Ratio

The nurse to patient ratio is 1:5, with flexibility to accommodate 1:6, caring for patients requiring therapy and PCU-level care.

Work Schedule

Full-time position: 36 hours per week, every other weekend. No on-call or holiday responsibilities.

Training Information

Experience with EPIC and Pyxis is preferred, however, training will be provided. HARP/CPI familiarity is also preferred but not required.

Additional Requirements

• Holiday coverage may be required.
