Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of critical experience required; first-timers accepted with approximately 2 years of PCU/ICU experience. License: Active license required. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS. Must-Have: Critical care experience with mixed patient population, including cardiac, minor trauma, respiratory, and mildly unstable hemodynamic patients. Description: Travelers must adhere to time-off policies. Maximum 10 approved days for time off during the contract. Time off is not permitted during specified periods. Flexibility may be considered for harder-to-fill positions. RNs will be required to float to sister units within the region as needed. All rooms are equipped with negative pressure capability and ceiling lifts. Staffing and scheduling will include weekend coverage based on unit needs. Patient ratios and care will vary per shift and unit policies. Required skills include management of cardiac and vasoactive drips, telemetry monitoring, and airway management using BiPAP/CPAP. Management of dysrhythmias, wound care, and IV therapy is essential. Alternatively, responsibilities may include care for patients using advanced respiratory support and vascular access devices. All travelers must complete facility-specific modules within the first week of assignment. Interdisciplinary support will be available, including therapy services and rapid response teams. This position requires effective communication and collaboration with various healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
