Junior Technical Support Representative - BYU-Pathway Worldwide (Part-time, Student Employee)

The person in this role is responsible for assisting with IT processes and planning, administrative duties, equipment purchasing and preparation, employee technical support, IT software and infrastructure budgeting, assistance with Global Education Center (GEC) activities including scheduling software administration, and miscellaneous support as needed. This role ultimately helps students become disciples of Jesus Christ who are leaders in their homes, the Church and their communities. This position reports to the Director of Technology Operations and provides daily support to staff. The Technology Operations Support (TOS) role will be responsible for Equipment purchasing and Preparation which includes ordering and managing equipment for employees via the service catalogue, preparing and configuring new computers for deployment, ensuring seamless employee transitions to new equipment and providing necessary support, and image and process returned computers. Additionally, the TOS will work to resolve any technical escalations the employees submit and handle them in a timely manner. They will also be assisting with the GEC technology activities, including administration and new iterations of the scheduling software. Lastly, they will assist with IT software and Infrastructure Budgeting by assisting with the creation and management of department budgets, managing and tracking spending against budget forecasts, and support of the preparation of financial reports and budget presentations. Working closely with the BYU-Pathway Technical Operations team, the goal for the technical TOS is to ensure smooth technology operations for employees. Important: This part-time position typically works (Monday – Friday between the hours of 8 am - 5 pm).
