This role involves providing patient care within a general medicine and medical surgical unit, accommodating a diverse patient population including GI bleeds, COPD, CHF, diabetes complications, ESRD, dementia, TIA/stroke, A-Fib, hypertension, sepsis, and vascular issues. The RN will assist with clinical responsibilities, including potential charge duties, and contribute to a supportive team environment, working with students and new hires frequently. Job Details Position: Medical Surgical RN, Specialty: Medical Surgical Floor Experience Required: Minimum of 2 years of travel experience, with at least 1 year of recent clinical experience in medical surgical settings Certifications: Relevant nursing license, current certifications as required for practice Education: Valid nursing degree/license is required Location Requirements: Facility or location not specified, candidate must be able to work in the specified location Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum 36 hours per week Start Date: 10/05/2026 End Date: 01/02/2027 Additional Information: Orientation begins on 10/5, occurring every other Monday. Travel experience is required. The unit may require the RN to float to sister campuses, and Cerner experience is preferred. The facility is a teaching environment, with frequent interaction with students and new hires. The RN may be asked to work at least one major holiday, such as Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Years Day. All required documentationwork history, skills checklist, nursing license, and RTO requestsmust be submitted accordingly.
