Job Opportunity – Registered Nurse (RN) Medical-Surgical/Telemetry – New York

Start Date: October 6, 2026

Location: Rochester, New York

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, 13-week contract, every other weekend required

Highlights:

• Work in a 528-bed Magnet-recognized acute care teaching facility with advanced specialty programs
• Patient ratios of 1:5 to 1:7 on a dedicated Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit
• EPIC charting system utilized facility-wide
• Clinical environment includes cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management, IV therapy, and emergency response protocols
• Facility is certified as an Advanced Thrombectomy Capable Stroke Center with national affiliations
• Flexible call-off policy allowing up to three shifts per contract period

Requirements:

• Active New York State Single State RN license (must be in hand prior to submission; pending licenses not accepted)
• Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum of 1 year of RN experience; acute care experience within the past 6 months required
• EPIC charting experience is mandatory
• Competency in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, IV therapy/phlebotomy, oxygen administration, and isolation precautions
• Experience with Rapid Response/Code team activation protocols
• Must reside more than 75 miles from the facility location
• Willingness to float within Medical-Surgical skill set as needed
• Availability to work every other holiday if needed
