Radiology - CT Tech

CT TechnologistThe CT Technologist will perform a wide variety of routine and advanced imaging procedures. The CT Technologist will provide support for other imaging technologists as needed. They will help to facilitate smooth and efficient patient flow. The CT Technologist will demonstrate flexibility by working other shifts and/or at different locations as needed or required. They must be able to troubleshoot basic maintenance and participate in quality assurance. The CT Technologist will resolve issues related to image processing and the image archiving system. There is an expectation to participate in ongoing education and technical advances within their scope of licensure. The CT Technologist will adhere to and maintain expected imaging competencies as outlined by management. Behavior and communication skills must align with the organization's mission, values, and culture. Responsibilities include meeting expectations of applicable competencies. They should demonstrate adherence to core values. The CT Technologist will maintain consistency with administrative and departmental policies. They are expected to promote staff growth, development, and employee engagement. They will provide meaningful assistance to radiologists and referring physicians. All duties will be performed in a manner that protects patient confidentiality. Adaptations will be made to patient assessment and care methods to accommodate unique needs. Compliance with all policies, procedures, and standards of care is essential. The CT Technologist will perform examinations and procedures as needed to assist in patient throughput. Demonstrating flexibility by working other shifts and at other locations is expected. The CT Technologist will ensure completed exams are scanned and stored correctly in the PACS. They must be able to follow PACS downtime procedures and escalate any problems to the PACS administrator or designee if needed. Troubleshooting and reporting any equipment malfunctions to the appropriate personnel is required.
