Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Full Time Permanent

Prerequisites Before applying, you must hold an active Physical Therapy license in addition to any other degrees or certifications. Position Overview We are hiring Registered or Certified Respiratory Therapists (RRT/CRT) to serve an awesome community at Cherrelyn Healthcare Center. Required Qualifications Unencumbered registered or certified Respiratory Therapist authorized to practice in Colorado, with an active CRT or RRT credential. Associate degree from an accredited school. Minimum of one (1) year respiratory experience in a skilled nursing and/or acute care setting. Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program. BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer. Knowledgeable user of Point Click Care (PCC). Job Responsibilities Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, the primary responsibility of the RRT/CRT is to perform respiratory/pulmonary therapy, management, rehabilitation, diagnostic evaluation, and direct care to residents with pulmonary system deficiencies. On a typical day, a Respiratory Therapist reviews their resident assignments for their shift, reviews resident information, walks with assigned residents, inquires about their comfort with current treatments, evaluates lung capacities, checks blood gases, and performs additional tests as necessary. Essential Duties Receive and follow schedule/instructions for resident care as directed by the Director of Nursing and established policies. Perform focused interviews to identify specific resident needs. Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiologic and psychosocial changes and document findings in PCC. Collect, analyze, and interpret data from healthcare members and document diagnoses and care coordination in the resident electronic chart. Work with the assigned nursing team and communicate with physicians, ensuring all resident care needs are electronically documented. Comply with PHI and HIPAA policies regarding disclosure of resident status. Plan outcomes of care for assigned residents. Perform interventions according to identified priorities and plan of care, adhering to emergency, safety, and infection control procedures. Promote and participate in activities to facilitate effective interpersonal communication. Report changes in resident respiratory status to Directors of Nursing and Respiratory Care. Develop and maintain a good working rapport with inter-department personnel. Position Details Job Type: Full‑time, 5 days a week, 8 hours a day Pay: $35.00 - $38.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
