Job Title: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Hours (07:00 - 19:00) Experience: Minimum 2 Years of Labor and Delivery Experience License: Valid State License Required Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP Must-Have: - EPIC Hardstop Requirement - Charge Experience Preferred - Previous Experience with Patient Ratios 1:1-1:2 Description: This position involves working in the Labor and Delivery unit. The nurse will provide care to patients during labor and delivery. Weekend shifts are required, with a total of 6 expected. The position includes a block scheduling format. The nurse must be capable of managing high-risk deliveries. Experience with antepartum care is essential. The nurse will assist with both vaginal and cesarean section deliveries. Knowledge of postpartum care and neonatal resuscitation is required. The facility sees a daily volume of births ranging from 100 to 200. The nurse will utilize the electronic charting system. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams is expected. Flexibility to work different shifts may be needed. Strict adherence to patient care protocols and standards is mandatory. Strong communication skills are vital for effective patient interaction. The role demands attention to detail regarding patient assessments.
