Material Handler

Warehouse OperationsEssential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe mannerOrganizes all saleable inventory within warehouseOperates heavy material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack, hand trucks, dolly)Receives shipments and verifies receiptsHousekeeping in branch (sweeping, cleaning, straightening as needed)Conduct inventory count at warehouseLoading and Unloading trucks with various equipment and by handOffloads pallets from incoming shipments and stocks material in warehouse based on company procedures.Pull products for orders, wrap, strap, and seal for shipping to customers or other regionals.Reports any damaged inventory or discrepancies to supervisor.Works diligently to complete all daily transactions promptly.Handle and dispose of material waste as per company procedure.Able to handle machine repairs and cleaning after providing training.RequirementsAbility to lift or move heavy productsMust be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, stand, sit and reachComfortable working in an environment where there are forklifts, machinery, large trucks, and other standard warehouse equipmentAbility to read and do basic math with the help of calculator.The ability to work well as part of a teamBasic written and verbal communication skillsEducation and/or ExperienceHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 6 months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceForklift experience is preferred but not mandatory.Monday to Friday 7 am to 3.30pm
