Join us! \n Job Summary and Qualifications \n \n \n \n The Radiologic Technologist assists the Radiologists or independently performs ordered imaging procedures specific to diagnostic imaging and related techniques, producing diagnostic images for interpretation. Radiologic Technologists must demonstrate an understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. Radiologic Technologists must maintain a high degree of accuracy in patient positioning and imaging technique. They must maintain knowledge of radiation protection and safety. Radiologic Technologists provide age specific patient care based on assessment data, current knowledge/skills, department policies/procedures and physician orders. \n What you will do in this role: \n \n \n Performs physician ordered diagnostic, fluoroscopic and interventional imaging procedures. \n Confirms, clarifies and verifies the physician written or verbal order prior to implementing the imaging procedure. \n Performs and confirms proper patient identification prior to performing the patient procedure. \n Corroborates patient's clinical history with procedure, ensuring information is documented and available. \n Appropriately documents findings relevant to the imaging procedures in Technologist Notes. \n Prepares the patient for imaging procedures, providing education and instructions to obtain desired results, gaining cooperation, and minimizing the patient’s anxiety. \n Appropriately operates imaging equipment, and/or associated accessories to successfully perform procedures. \n Positions patient to best demonstrate anatomic area of interest, respecting patient ability and comfort. Appropriately immobilizes patients as required for the examination. \n Identifies, prepares and/or administers appropriate contrast media as determined by the procedure ordered. Starts and maintains intravenous (IV) access per orders when applicable to the imaging procedure. \n Determines appropriate imaging technique/exposure factors. \n Evaluates images for technical quality, ensuring proper identification is recorded. \n \n What qualifications you will need: \n \n \n Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing is required.
