Java Solution Architect - W2

Job Description Role: Solution Architecture Location: Pittsburgh, PA Experience: 10+ years W2 Contract Required Skills Architecture and design/principles Candidate should have been a strong hands‑on developer and moved into an architect role Full stack Java development (or .NET), Oracle, Cloud, Angular or React on the front end Onsite 3 days per week in Pittsburgh (Lake Mary considered a secondary option) Will work with different teams (Engineering, Product Management, Ops, Business Owners, Scrum Leads) Work experience certifications (certs are still a plus) Preference to hire FTE during the assignment 1‑2 video interviews with an onsite interview for local candidates Will present the blueprint to review boards and must have strong written and verbal communication skills Required Qualifications Participate in process flow analysis and process redesign with the Engagement Manager Produce a detailed functional design document to match customer requirements Co‑team with the Technical Architect to produce a technical specification for custom development and systems integration requirements Provide current best practice and 3rd Party solution alternatives as part of the functional design document Participate in training design, documentation and delivery efforts in concert with the Engagement Manager Participate and lead design and technical solutioning meetings Be able to influence others to achieve the desired Architecture solution Ideal candidate must be self‑motivated with a proven track record in Cloud technologies and comfortable in a dynamic technical environment with a rapidly expanding customer base Candidate must be organized and analytical, adept at working in a team environment and able to handle multiple priorities Additional Preferred Qualifications B.S. degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent preferred Ability to understand the business requirements and convert them into solution designs Knowledge of web‑based systems architecture, service‑based architecture, enterprise application architecture and experience balancing alternatives against business and financial constraints Hands‑on expertise in technologies and concepts such as Security, Resiliency, Integration/EAI technologies (e.g., Pervasive, Informatica, Jitterbit, ESB), C++, Java/J2EE, SOAP, RESTful, .NET and related technologies (JSON, XML, etc.), common frameworks such as Struts, Spring, Hibernate, and database technologies (Oracle, MySQL, JDBC, SQL, PL/SQL, stored procedures) Qualifications Some qualifications you may want to include are Skills, Education, Experience, or Certifications.
