Registered Nurse (RN)

Responsibilities include:

• Providing comprehensive nursing care to patients presenting with a wide range of medical emergencies, including but not limited to cardiac issues, respiratory distress, neurological events, gastrointestinal issues, and musculoskeletal injuries.
• Conducting thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history, and physical examination.
• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
• Administering medications, performing procedures, and monitoring patient responses to treatment.
• Educating patients and families about their condition, treatment plan, and discharge instructions.
• Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of patient care in electronic medical records.
• Collaborating effectively with other members of the healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, technicians, and support staff.
• Adhering to all hospital policies and procedures, including infection control and safety protocols.
• Participating in quality improvement initiatives and professional development activities.

Requirements:

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing upon hire.
• Registered Nurse: WA, upon hire.
• Current BLS Certification from the American Heart Association. Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.

Preferred:

• Bachelors Of Science Nursing and One year of related work experience in an acute care setting.
• Previous E.D. experience current within the last 2 years or Critical care experience, current within the last 2 years.
• New graduate or RNs without E.D. or Critical Care experience AND successful completion of the E.D. residency program.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support upon hire.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program, within 12 - months.
• Trauma Nurse Core Course, within 12 - months.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support, within 12 - months or Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course, within 12 - months.
