POSITION TITLE Research Associate, Executive Search (Contract to hire) REPORTS TO Director of Recruiting, Executive Search LOCATION St. Louis, MO (Hybrid, 3 days per week in office- 2 days Remote) This role is based in St. Louis, MO and follows a hybrid schedule, with three days per week in an office setting. POSITION OVERVIEW StevenDouglas is seeking a Research Associate to join the Executive Search practice. This is a newly created role designed to help get search engagements off the ground quickly by providing dedicated research, sourcing, and market intelligence support across active retained searches. The Research Associate will work closely with broader search team to research industries and markets, identify and assess prospective candidates, and build the profiles, org charts, and trackers that inform every stage of a search engagement. This role is based in St. Louis, MO and follows a hybrid schedule, with three days per week in an office setting. (Sunset Hills) KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Conduct company and executive research to identify prospective candidates, then build out and maintain candidate profiles in the internal database, including phone and email details that are developed and verified. Build org charts of target companies, mapping how each organization is structured, which people sit on which teams, and which product or functional groups fall within each team. Conduct market mapping, talent research, and competitive intelligence to identify and assess executive level talent for active search assignments. Source candidates through a variety of methods, including the internal database, LinkedIn, direct outreach by phone and email, industry associations, and other online tools and databases. Develop and maintain diverse pipelines of senior talent through direct sourcing, networking, referrals, and ongoing market research. Prepare talent maps, candidate summaries, market intelligence reports, and search status updates for internal and for client stakeholders. Analyze corporate and candidate data for competitive insights and business intelligence, spotting patterns and ensuring data quality across trackers and the ATS. Assist with candidate process logistics, including stakeholder communication, interview coordination, and reference and background check support. Maintain accurate, up to date search activity, market intelligence, and candidate information across all active engagements. Contribute to a highly personalized, high touch candidate and client experience throughout each search process. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree required. Strong research instincts, with the ability to analyze corporate data, spot patterns, and enjoy the detail work of piecing together org charts and candidate profiles. Superior organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple searches and priorities at once with minimal supervision. Strong critical thinking skills, with the ability to immerse oneself in a client and industry and think beyond the surface to identify strong talent. Polite, professional, and persistent approach to engaging candidates and building relationships. Comfortable working cross functionally with search partners, the research team, and back office support. Prior exposure to LinkedIn Recruiter, an ATS, or database research is a plus, but not required. #J-18808-Ljbffr
