Accounting Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with managing the daily operations of the accounting department, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.
• Oversee and participate in the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Analyze financial results and provide explanations for variances to budget and prior periods.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
• Support the annual audit process and coordinate requests from external auditors.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting procedures.
• Review cash management activities, including cash forecasting and bank reconciliations.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning initiatives.
• Partner with department leaders to provide financial guidance and operational support.
• Help identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and increase efficiencies.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff, providing training and performance support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience required.
• Public accounting experience is highly preferred.
• Prior experience as a Senior Accountant, Accounting Manager, or Assistant Controller preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Experience with month-end close, financial statement preparation, and account reconciliations.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and financial analysis functions. xhyhwjd
• Experience working within ERP/accounting systems.
