Marketing - Summer 2024 Internship

Globe Life's internship program offers a diverse opportunity to work in a specific department gaining hands-on experience as well as working on much larger team projects throughout the organization with exposure to senior management and mentors. This rigorous program ensures the opportunity for students to enhance new skills, obtain real-world experience, gain specific field-related exposure, and make important connections for the future.

Program outline

The Marketing intern will learn the various facets of working in a corporate Marketing environment.

Takeaway skills to be learned over the 8-week period are:

· Writing magazine articles for agent publications

· Using Social Media in the marketplace

· Creating blog posts to help drive traffic to brands

· Supporting a new Brand rollout

Specific duties would be divided into four main groups: Content, Corporate Communications, Video, and Social Media. Each Manager will spend time explaining how their area fits in the overall department. The intern will complete assignments from content to publishing; all processes should be explained prior to being assigned. We will also assign a buddy for each of the areas in which she will work. The buddy will make sure she has what she needs to get her assignment done or direct her to the right person to help.

We are currently hiring for our Summer Internship 2024 program. Placement will depend on a candidate’s current coursework, track to graduation, and experience.

Job Description and Responsibilities:

• Willingness to learn different areas within the organization.
• Work on different projects within the department as well as team projects
• General excel reports
• Assisting with Ad Hoc analysis
• Data pulls

Required Skills

• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) – Intermediate level
• Detail oriented
• Project Management
• Self-Starter
• Ability to Multi-task and close projects within a predetermined timeline
• Reliable and predictable attendance of your assigned shift
• Ability to work full time and/or part time based on the position specifications.

Required Experience

• Must have obtained at least a Junior status in a Bachelor’s degree program (Research, Marketing, advertising, journalism, communication or related fields)
• We seek candidates who have excellent analytical skills, a focus on results, the ability to clearly articulate complex ideas, and creative problem-solving abilities.
• Qualified candidates must also demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, effective teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to quickly assess problems and find workable solutions.
• Must be proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Minimum 3.0 GPA (Official Transcript May be Requested)
• Ability to work 40 hours per week June 3 rd, 2024 – July 26th, 2024.
• U.S citizen or legal resident.
