Azure DevOps Engineer

Required Technical Skills

• 7–8+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or related roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps.
• Extensive experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), particularly Terraform.
• Proven experience designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of release management and deployment automation.
• Experience managing and scaling DevOps environments, repositories, pipelines, and automation.
• Strong understanding of Azure cloud services and cloud engineering concepts.
• Experience with source control, branching strategies, build automation, and deployment processes.
• Ability to collaborate with security, development, infrastructure, and operations teams.
• Strong troubleshooting, automation, and problem-solving skills.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and optimize Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement and manage infrastructure using Terraform and Infrastructure as Code practices.
• Automate application builds, testing, deployments, and release processes.
• Manage release pipelines and deployment environments across development, testing, and production.
• Scale and organize DevOps environments to support enterprise applications and development teams.
• Maintain and manage code repositories, branching strategies, pipelines, and automation frameworks.
• Implement DevOps best practices for reliability, security, scalability, and operational efficiency.
• Partner with security teams to implement secure development and deployment practices.
• Troubleshoot pipeline, deployment, infrastructure, and automation issues.
• Support Azure cloud engineering activities and contribute to cloud infrastructure improvements.
• Document processes, automation, configurations, and operational procedures.
• Identify opportunities to improve automation, deployment efficiency, and overall DevOps maturity.

Preferred Skills

• Basic web development knowledge for creating simple static pages.
• General experience with Microsoft Azure cloud engineering.
• Exposure to AWS.
• Experience with Ansible or other configuration management tools.
• Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and cloud security practices.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Mid-level to senior professional with 7–8+ years of experience.
• Strong DevOps and automation background, rather than purely cloud-focused experience.
• Hands-on and comfortable working with Azure DevOps, Terraform, CI/CD, and release automation.
• Experienced in managing DevOps platforms and processes at scale.
• Comfortable partnering with security and cross-functional engineering teams.
• Strong ownership, communication, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
