As a Kitchen Operator / Food Production Operator , you'll prepare and cook products according to established recipes and batch formulas while operating commercial food-processing equipment and maintaining strict food safety and sanitation standards.

Kitchen Operator Job Responsibilities

• Accurately weigh and measure ingredients according to batch sheets and production formulas
• Prepare and cook food products according to established recipes and specifications
• Operate commercial kitchen and food-processing equipment including kettles, mixers, pumps, and related machinery
• Monitor cooking temperatures, processing times, and batch quality
• Inspect products before and after processing to ensure quality standards are met
• Clean, inspect, sanitize, assemble, and disassemble production equipment
• Follow and document batching formulas and complete required production paperwork
• Maintain accurate production and quality records
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP guidelines, food safety standards, and company safety procedures
• Work closely with production team members to coordinate daily manufacturing activities
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe food production environment

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED required
• Strong attention to detail
• Reliable attendance and dependable work ethic
• Basic math skills and ability to accurately measure ingredients
• Ability to read and follow detailed recipes, batch sheets, and written instructions
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a production team
• Previous food production, manufacturing, kitchen, batch processing, or machine operation experience is a plus

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for 8-10 hours
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Frequent lifting, bending, reaching, and moving materials
• Comfortable working in refrigerated, humid, or temperature-controlled environments
• Ability to safely operate and clean industrial food-processing equipment

Schedule

• Primarily weekday day shifts
• Occasional weekends may be required
• Actual work hours may vary based on production needs
• Must be willing to work varying shifts when needed
