Position: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)

Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (18:30 - 07:00)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing critical patient needs and delivering emergency medical services to patients of all age groups, including neonates, infants, children, adults, and geriatrics.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver emergency care to patients in accordance with established protocols.
• Conduct thorough assessments and triage patients effectively.
• Administer medications and emergency treatment as necessary.
• Provide bedside care to patients using advanced monitoring techniques.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate patient records using the Epic charting system.
• Participate in unit procedures and maintain a safe environment for patients.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in an emergency room setting.
• Experience with a patient ratio of 4 patients per nurse.
• Must possess valid ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications.
• Knowledge of BiPAP/CPAP management and care for ventilated patients.
• Experience in the interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs) and dysrhythmias.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be willing to work every other weekend and cover 3 weekend shifts per week.

Unit Details

• Daily patient census: 50-70
• Number of rooms: 12; Number of beds: 11
• Interdisciplinary support from various departments including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and Social Services.

Compliance and Orientation

All candidates must complete necessary compliance documentation within specified deadlines. Orientation will include a 24-hour session to familiarize you with the facility's policies and procedures.
