Department: Music and Theatre Summary of Job Duties Will teach music majors and non‑majors, applied lessons to music majors and non‑majors, other music related classes and duties in the UAFS Department of Music and Theatre. The position reports to the Head of the Department of Music and Theatre. Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities tTeach music classes according to areas of expertise for majors (BA and BME) tTeach music classes for non‑music majors (Music Appreciation) tTeach classes in the humanities tAssist with areas of the Department of Music and Theatre related to voice tTeach applied lessons for UAFS music majors (BME and BA) tTeach applied lessons to non‑music majors tOther courses as assigned Qualifications Required Education and/or Work Experience: Masters degree in music or music education required. Preferred Education and/or Work Experience: College-level teaching experience is preferred. Working Relationships: Students, staff, faculty, administration. List Employees Supervised: None. Special Job Dimensions: Daily work environment includes sitting and standing in a classroom, studio, and/or practice room. Saxophone classes and lessons are typically scheduled during the week, during business hours. Travel, nights, and weekend duties are very rare, but possible. Background Check Requirements.
