Role Overview
Responsible for safe and efficient transportation of materials, equipment, and supplies to and from construction sites. This is a hands-on field role that supports overall jobsite productivity and crew operations.
Driving & Hauling
- Operate:
- Dump trucks
- Water trucks
- Other commercial vehicles
- Haul materials:
- Dirt, aggregate, asphalt, construction debris
- Load and unload materials safely
- Follow haul routes and production schedules
Equipment & Jobsite Support
- Assist with loading operations alongside field crews
- Operate water trucks for:
- Dust control
- Compaction support
- Support general jobsite tasks when not driving
Safety & Compliance
- Follow DOT regulations and safety standards
- Perform daily:
- Pre-trip inspections
- Post-trip inspections
- Report:
- Mechanical issues
- Incidents
- Safety concerns
- Maintain clean and safe equipment
Jobsite Coordination
- Communicate with foremen and dispatch
- Stay aware of jobsite conditions and traffic
- Support overall crew productivity
Qualifications
- Valid CDL (Class A or B)
- Clean driving record
- Experience operating dump/water trucks or similar
- Strong awareness of jobsite safety
- Ability to work in fast-paced construction environments
