Specialty: Physical Therapist Discipline: Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Hours per week: 30 Shift: 10 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Responsibilities Perform evaluation, development, and execution of a plan of care for a variety of patient populations in the acute care setting. Oversee and supervise PTAs and support staff (therapy technicians). Bill within the respective setting following guidelines for facilities. Understand and comply with the respective PT board's rules and regulations and state regulations. Interface with medical center personnel and physicians to ensure a team-focused plan of care. Understand adaptive equipment and its application. Evaluate and create a plan of care and modify it as indicated based on patient condition. Use medical center computer systems in the performance of daily tasks. Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines. Requirements Minimum 6 months of experience (1 year preferred). Exceptional candidates with 2 years or more may be considered. State-specific licensing for physical therapy. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Ability to stand, walk, bend, lean, or stoop for long periods of time without difficulty. Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. New graduates encouraged to apply. Additional certifications may be required before assignment.
