Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Night Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality care in the PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit). You will primarily focus on pre-operative and post-operative care for patients who have undergone various procedures, including catheterizations, electrophysiology, and vascular surgeries. This position requires expertise in handling short stay patients in a supportive and dynamic team environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients in the PACU, ensuring safety and addressing any complications.
• Administer medications and manage IV drips as required.
• Assisting with patient recovery from anesthesia and evaluating vital signs.
• Provide post-operative care for cardiac, vascular, and gynecological patients.
• Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in the EMR (Epic).

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3 years of recent PACU experience.
• Must hold current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Prior experience with tele monitoring and reading tele strips required.
• Experience handling cardiac drips, groin management, and trauma care.
• Float experience to PACU, IMC, and ICU settings is required.
