Alvarado Eye Center is a fast-paced ASC environment committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families.The Registered Nurse - Charge Nurse, serving as the nursing support for the center Administrator, will be the main point of contact for RNs regarding patient care, scheduling, and other day-to-day responsibilities. They also perform the duties of a Registered Nurse daily and provide supervision and guidance to the nursing staff, stepping in as a staff nurse when necessary due to staffing needs.Key duties include:Managing nursing operations according to policies, protocols, and regulations.Using data for continuous quality improvement and coordinating with Quality Management Committee.Ensuring clinical care meets standards, collaborating with Center Manager and physicians.Handling clinical relations, including recruitment, training, and associate engagement.Monday-Friday work schedule!NO call required!NO nights, NO weekends, NO holiday work hours!The starting pay range for this position is $46 - $60/hour, depending on experience.What We Offer:Medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurancePaid time off (vacation & sick leave) - Starting PTO accrual is 15 days per year.401k retirement planPaid holidaysHealth savings accounts, healthcare & dependent flexible spending accountsEmployee Assistance program, Employee discount programVoluntary benefits include pet insurance, legal insurance, accident and critical illness insurance, long term care, elder & childcare, AD&D, auto & home insurance.Required skills:Graduate of accredited school of professional nursing.Current unencumbered California RN License1+ years experience in perioperative setting in OR and PACU. Experience in Opthalmology procedures preferred.1+ years nursing leadership experience as a Charge RN, Supervisor, Manager, or DON.Experience working in an Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC)Bilingual in Spanish or Korean preferredBLS & ACLS accredited by AHA requiredIndependent decision making skills.Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects.Excellent communication skills with staff, physicians, patients, families and vendors.We are part of a much larger team with United Surgical Partners International (USPI).
