Marketing Communications Plan Development

Crafts integrated marketing communications plans to include the most appropriate mix of products and dissemination methods to successfully convey information to the desired target audiences. Plans should include the objective of and justification for the materials, target audiences, key messages, tactics and evaluation as well as a promotional strategy to make audiences aware that materials exist and how to access them. Understand and employ the wide array of promotion and dissemination vehicles that can be used to distribute materials with an emphasis on new media and electronic methods. Work closely with Lilly staff to ensure feasibility and follow through. Assist in developing detailed product specifications based on accepted recommendations, including cost estimates. Ensure that full use of electronic distribution is part of the plan when hard copy availability is limited. Provide technical assistance to obtain concept and content clearance for publications. Provide support to ensure that concept clearance packages are complete, accurate and consistent with Lilly’s mission and policies. Update tip sheets, checklists, forms, and guidelines, for publications planners and identified staff and subcontractors to use in developing their plans and the appropriate clearance forms.
