Position Summary:
The Melting Department is responsible for supporting daily production operations by safely operating melting equipment, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring efficient workflow.
Scope of Responsibilities:
This role includes performing machine start‑up and shutdown procedures, completing accurate production and downtime reporting, and following all safety protocols including Lockout/Tagout and the Stop‑Call‑Wait process.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Achieving daily production targets and ensuring part quality meets customer requirements
- Demonstrates all essential duties & responsibilities in Melting
- Start-up and shutdown of melting machines
- Complete accurate production and downtime reports with correct codes, reject quantity and descriptions
- Follow safety protocols including Lockout/Tagout and the Stop-Call-Wait process
- Maintain good housekeeping
Preferred Training/Experience:
- Flexibility to work in a hot environment
- Ability and willingness to work any shift as needed
- Willingness to work overtime – at times with short notice
- Forklift experience preferred
Qualified candidates must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to work and learn in a team-oriented environment.
