Normal Work Schedule (Other):: Available to work mornings, afternoons, and evenings. Occasional weekends required based on the demands of the project. Some travel will be required depending on project location.

Job Responsibilities
readySC™ is a part of the Economic Development Division of the South Carolina Technical College System. We promote economic and workforce development for the State of SC by providing customized training for new and expanding business and industry in the State of SC. The primary duty of the Instructor/Developer is to assist in the development and implementation of customized training for business and industries in the Sumter, Lee, Clarendon, and Kershaw County areas. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
• Experience in conducting training programs for adult learners, preferably addressing workplace knowledge and skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with the Area Director throughout development of instructional assignments.
• Ability to develop classroom and computer-based training that meets client objectives.
• Ability to develop learner-centered training that is not necessarily lecture-based.
• Ability to collaborate with client company SME's and readySC™ personnel in developing training curricula.
• Document scheduling and assist with organizing training activities.
• Ability to develop Participant Manuals and Facilitator Guides using readySC-designed templates, as well as other visuals (slides, handouts, etc.).
• Type and produce documents according to business standards which include procedural correspondences, memos, and emails, as well as charts, tables, graphs and supportive business documents.
• Experience developing and leading training activities (experience with process simulations a plus).
• Ability to meet deadlines.
• Handle confidential and non-routine information without compromise.

Minimum and Additional Requirements
A bachelor's degree and relevant experience in technical, manufacturing, and/or military training; or an associate's degree and two (2) years relevant experience in technical, manufacturing, and/or military training; or a high school diploma and four (4) years relevant experience in technical, manufacturing, and/or military training.
Familiarity with manufacturing production environments, engineering drawings, manufacturing management software, curriculum development and web-based processes. Must possess a high degree of interpersonal skills with demonstrated poise, tact, confidentiality and diplomacy. Has demonstrable ability to utilize analytical and problem-solving skills when addressing solutions of administrative concern. Compliance in maintaining proprietary information. Ability to conduct training while standing for 3-hour training sessions. Ability to lift 25 lbs.
