The organization is undergoing significant leadership transformation, creating an opportunity for a procurement professional to drive meaningful change while partnering closely with plant leadership, operations, maintenance, and finance teams.The successful candidate will bring strong manufacturing procurement experience, proven supplier negotiation skills, and a hands-on approach to supporting plant operations.ResponsibilitiesLead the Procurement and Storeroom functions for a major manufacturing facility.Manage, coach, and develop a team including procurement and storeroom personnel.Develop sourcing strategies for MRO, maintenance services, contractors, engineering services, and outsourced production processes.Drive supplier negotiations, contract management, and cost reduction initiatives.Partner closely with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and Finance leadership to support business objectives.Improve supplier performance, reduce sourcing risk, and optimize total cost of ownership.Lead procurement initiatives focused on cost savings, inventory optimization, working capital improvements, and process efficiency.Support Kaizen events, supplier productivity workshops, and continuous improvement efforts.QualificationsBachelor's degree required.5+ years of procurement, purchasing, sourcing, or supply chain experience.Prior leadership experience, including management of direct reports.Strong negotiation, supplier management, and analytical skills.Experience supporting manufacturing operations and plant environments.Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.Strong communication and relationship-building abilities.RequiredLegal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely.No work sponsorship available.Ability to work onsite five days per week in Lafayette, IN.PreferredProcurement leadership experience within manufacturing environments.Experience supporting MRO, maintenance, indirect spend, services, and contractor categories.Metals, aluminum, aerospace, automotive, or heavy industrial manufacturing experience.CPSM, CPM, or other procurement certifications.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization.Proven team player with a collaborative leadership style.BenefitsCompetitive base salary ($120K+ with flexibility for exceptional candidates)Annual performance bonusComprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage401(k) with company matchPaid time off and company holidaysRelocation assistance package availableCareer growth opportunity supporting multiple manufacturing locationsHigh-visibility role with direct exposure to senior leadership and plant operations
