Some of What You Will Do:
- Coordinate with site team to implement the EHS Program and respective policies.
- Audit effectiveness of the site EHS program through audit program including annual corporate audit.
- Provide EHS training to all site personnel.
- Maintain all pertinent safety and environmental records.
- Maintain workers compensation files and investigate incidents.
- Generates internal and external reports as required.
- Execute site inspection program with respect to safety and environmental regulations.
- Accompany state, federal, and local inspectors from various agencies. Respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, employees and regulatory agencies.
- Act as local expert on EHS requirements, providing guidance and working closely with site leadership team.
- Perform other duties as assigned. May be required to support multiple facilities as well as corporate / nationwide EHS projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- BS in Safety/Environmental Science or related field and 2 years manufacturing experience is required or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience to include:
- Compliance management in a manufacturing facility that operates under a Title V Air Permit.
- Managing a full Respiratory Protection Program and Hearing Conservation Program.
- Familiarity with Powered Industrial Truck safety and Electrical Safety NFPA 70E.
- Capacity to multi-task, prioritize workload and set and reach goals.
- Ability to effectively present information in both oral and written form; ability to present and train in front of an audience.
- Competency to keep accurate records.
- Proficient with computer including Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
