The practice is located at Ascension Sacred Heart Gulf in Port Saint Joe, Florida, a 19-bed hospital with an 8-bed emergency department. The hospital has an annual volume of 12,800 with 35 ED patients per day. It has recently received performance leadership awards in all three measures: quality, outcomes, and patient perspective. The ED leads Ascension in patient experience scores and the nursing staff is very committed and engaged with very low turnover.
