Route Driver CDL DIRECT HIRES

The purpose of this position is to provide quality service and products to customers in a timely and professional manner. The route driver will operate a company truck to pick up and deliver hospital linen at multiple medical facilities, load and unload laundry carts, and establish professional relationships with customers while providing quality customer service. The driver will represent the company professionally in appearance, conduct, and performance while at customer locations. Safe operation of company vehicles, including pre and post-route inspections, is required. The driver must maintain DOT compliance and follow hours of service rules, adhering to standard vehicle operating procedures.

• Work beyond scheduled hours if production or delivery issues arise
• Maintain required daily and weekly paperwork accurately
• Perform daily visual inspections of equipment
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors or managers

Additional Responsibilities

• Cross-train on other routes as needed
• Transport equipment to service providers for repairs and service as required

Minimum Requirements

• Ability to sit in a vehicle for several hours per day
• Capability to push/pull soil/clean carts weighing up to 800 lbs. (on wheels)
• Meet physical requirements such as bending, twisting, lifting, and pulling consistently
• Valid Class A driver's license
• Adhere to all DOT, state, and local regulations
• Maintain a clean driving record per company policy
• Six months to one-year experience
• Availability to drive nights and weekends
• Ability to speak and read the English language
• Ability to lift 25 pounds overhead
• Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs up to 10 hours per day
• Capability to use repetitive arm motions

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 10-hour shifts between 6 a.m. and 9 p.m.
