What You'll Actually Be Doing

Think of yourself as part mentor, part teammate, part problem-solver, and part cheerleader.

You'll be:

• Getting out into the community: Supporting clients with outings, activities, recreation, and everyday experiences.

• Building independence: Helping people develop social skills, confidence, and everyday life skills.

• Making connections: Creating positive, meaningful relationships with the individuals you support.

• Supporting daily life: Assisting with personal care, meals, hygiene, and other daily activities when needed.

• Keeping people safe: Following individual support plans and providing attentive, responsible supervision.

• Being part of a team: Communicating with coworkers, supervisors, and care teams.

• Staying organized: Completing required training, documentation, and client updates.

• Helping people get places: Safely transporting clients to activities, appointments, and community destinations.

Experience working with people with disabilities is great, but we also value transferable experience, a willingness to learn, and the right attitude.

If you've worked in customer service, recreation, childcare, education, healthcare, or other people-focused roles, you may already have skills that translate well to this position.

What You'll Need

• Ability to pass required background checks.

• A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

• Current vehicle registration and auto insurance meeting company requirements.

• Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written English.

• Basic comfort with technology and mobile apps.

• Ability to complete required training, including CPR and other job-specific certifications.

• Availability to travel with clients in your own vehicle

The Important Stuff

We believe in being upfront about what the job involves.

Some individuals need hands-on assistance with personal care, mobility, meals, and everyday activities. Others may need support navigating social situations, managing emotions, or staying safe in the community.

This position may involve standing, walking, sitting, assisting with transfers, and lifting up to 50 pounds when required. You may work in environments with pets, odors, or challenging behaviors.

You'll receive training and guidance on supporting clients safely and respectfully. Reasonable accommodations are available in accordance with applicable law.
