Extruder Machine Operator

We are seeking a detail-oriented, high-performance Extruder Machine Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining extrusion machinery to ensure the continuous production of high-quality materials. This position requires mechanical aptitude, sharp problem-solving skills, and a strong commitment to safety and quality standards. Compensation & Benefits Competitive Pay: Compensation is determined by candidate experience, education, certifications, and specific job-related skills. $20 - $24+/hr depending on position and experience. Responsibilities Set up, adjust, and operate extrusion machines according to production specifications and blueprints. Monitor machine parameters (such as temperature, speed, and pressure) and make real-time adjustments to maintain product consistency. Load raw materials into the machinery and ensure proper blending or feeding. Perform routine quality checks, measurements, and inspections on finished products to ensure they meet strict company and client standards. Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, perform basic preventative maintenance, and report complex mechanical issues to supervisor. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with OSHA and company safety guidelines. Accurately document production logs, material usage, and quality control data. Skills / Qualifications Proven experience as an Extruder Operator or in a similar machine operation role within a manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with heavy industrial machinery and hand tools. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and production schedules. Basic math skills and precision measuring capabilities (using calipers, micrometers, or gauges). High-performance grit with the physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs. Excellent troubleshooting skills and strong attention to safety protocols.
