Job Title: Team Leader Job Description

The Team Leader is responsible for overseeing a team of 4-8 employees, ensuring productivity, quality, safety, and attendance standards are met. This role serves as the primary link between team members and Group Leaders, providing regular updates on employee performance, production progress, and workplace concerns. The Team Leader also works closely with Maintenance to communicate equipment issues, identify common machine breakdowns, and support efficient troubleshooting efforts.

Responsibilities

• Lead, train, and support a team of 4-8 employees in daily production activities.

• Monitor employee performance, attendance, productivity, and quality standards.

• Communicate team performance, staffing needs, and operational updates to Group Leaders.

• Identify, document, and report equipment malfunctions to the Maintenance team.

• Recognize recurring machine issues and provide detailed information to assist with repairs.

• Promote a safe, productive, and positive work environment.

• Ensure employees follow work instructions, quality requirements, and company policies.

• Assist with onboarding and training new team members.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives and problem-solving efforts on the production floor.

Essential Skills

• Previous leadership, lead, or supervisory experience preferred.

• Strong communication and organizational skills.

• Basic mechanical aptitude and interest in learning industrial equipment and processes.

• Ability to identify equipment issues and effectively communicate technical concerns.

• Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Frankfort, KY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
