What You'll Do
- Lead patient care in labor, delivery, and postpartum units.
- Monitor fetal and maternal health, ensuring safety and well-being.
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members.
- Assess patient needs, develop and implement care plans.
- Educate patients and families about procedures, recovery, and aftercare.
- Document care activities accurately and in a timely manner.
- Support unit and departmental goals by maintaining high standards of care.
What You Need
Required:
- Current RN license in Louisiana
- 2+ years of clinical experience in Labor and Delivery or OB nursing
- BLS, ACLS, NRP certification from the American Heart Association
- CPI certification (within past 12 months)
Preferred:
- Certification in clinical specialty area in maternal-child health or obstetrics
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to adapt to diverse patient populations
