Job Description
Exciting Opportunity for MICU Nurses - Night Shift!

Job Description:


- Shift: Night 4x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00)
- Specialty: MICU
- Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend
- Locals Accepted: No, must be over 75-mile radius
- First-time Travelers: Yes
- Charting System: Epic experience is required
- Nurse-Patient Ratio: 1:2, with occasional 1:1 based on acuity
- Patient Capacity: 16 beds with diverse diagnoses including:
- Sepsis
- ARDS
- Renal failure
- Heart failure
- Alcohol withdrawal
- Overdose
- Multi-organ failure
- Post-cardiac arrest/targeted temperature management
- Respiratory failure/shock
- CRRT, EKOS, IABP, ECMO, Impella

Key Qualifications:


- Licensure: NY License in hand is a must!
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years in a similar role
- Previous Charge Experience preferred
- Certifications:
- ACLS
- BLS
- NIHSS
- Skills Required:
- Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Care for patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
- Arterial line management and central line care
- Continuous IV sedation and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
- Care of ventilated patients and interpretation of ABGs
- Blood product administration and acute kidney injury management
- Monitoring for abdominal compartment syndrome and more

- Daily Census: 16
- Interdisciplinary Support: Includes IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, and more
