Job Description $1,246 weekly stipends $34/hour $1,360 weekly base pay Onsite Contract Starts 6/29/2026 13 weeks Day Shift 8 hours/day 5 days/week Job Summary: Operates magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) equipment to produce cross‑sectional images of patient body for diagnostic purposes. Position: MRI Technologist Location: Muskogee, OK Duration: 13 weeks, 40 hrs/week Shift: 11 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. M‑F with potential every 3rd Saturday 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Job Responsibilities: Performs MRI examinations according to department policy and protocols. Prepares and positions patients for MRI procedures of various body parts. Sets up equipment (coils, monitoring devices, etc.) and positions patients to provide best demonstration of the body part under study. Performs quality control tests on department equipment, reporting any discrepancies to proper personnel. Collects and evaluates relevant examination information from scheduling, patient, and referring physician, including screening information. Maintains departmental records and patient information according to policy. Responds to patient physical and psychological needs, keeping patients informed and explaining all procedures clearly. Performs safety procedures for outpatients, inpatients, patient families, and hospital staff. Screen patients and personnel for metal objects or implants that could cause harm. Ensures no patient or visitor with contraindicated implants enters the scan room. Evaluates scanning results for quality and completeness. Manipulates images using console keyboard and mouse to display to physician. Selects all image display options using terminal. Recognizes problems and rectifies them appropriately. Sends images to PACS system, evaluates exams for completeness, and verifies exams in a timely manner. Develops a working knowledge of all PACS capabilities. Maintains accurate documentation on logbook worksheet and charging of examinations and supplies. Seeks advice from appropriate resources when unsure of protocol or policy. Uses independent judgment in planning sequence of operations and making minor decisions in a complex technical or professional field. Works directly with patients and/or customers. Communicates with internal customers via telephone or face‑to‑face interaction. Communicates with external customers via telephone or face‑to‑face interaction. Collaborates with other healthcare professionals and staff. Required Skills & Experience: Zero (0) to six (6) months of related experience. Knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Ability to organize and prioritize work effectively and efficiently. Preferred Skills & Experience: N/A Required Education: Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program. OR Completion of an MRI accredited program. Preferred Education: N/A Required Certification & Licensure: Registration from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT‑R).
