Per Diem Pharmacist | Elk Grove, California

Pharmacists are needed urgently to provide per diem coverage throughout the Bay Area and Northern California, supporting multiple retail pharmacy sites. This position offers flexibility for experienced pharmacy professionals seeking additional shifts to complement their existing schedules.


Location: Elk Grove, CA, with expected travel to various locations in the greater Bay Area and Northern California.


Position Type: Per Diem, as-needed shifts averaging 1-2 per week.


Responsibilities:

• Provide pharmaceutical care and customer service consistent with retail pharmacy standards.
• Manage opening and closing procedures for pharmacy operations.
• Supervise and coordinate pharmacy technicians to ensure efficient workflow.
• Utilize pharmacy software such as McKesson's Enterprise (ERx) and Rx30 to accurately process prescriptions and maintain records.
• Travel to assigned retail sites as scheduled, with mileage reimbursement for distances over 30 miles one way.

Desired Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year retail pharmacy experience.
• Proven ability to manage pharmacy operations including opening, closing, and supervising staff.
• Familiarity with McKesson's Enterprise (ERx) and Rx30 software systems preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to commute within the region.
