This is not a help-desk technical support role — it is a senior customer-facing applications role supporting SMT, PCBA, solder materials, and advanced electronics manufacturing. Senior Applications Engineer - Electronics Assembly & Semiconductor Materia We are recruiting for a Senior Applications Engin eer to support advanced electronics assembly and semiconductor materials customers across North Ameri ca. This is a highly visible, customer-facing technical role for an engineer who enjoys solving complex manufacturing challenges, working directly with customers, and helping bring new products and process solutions from qualification through high-volume product ion. The right person will serve as a trusted technical advisor to engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams while partnering internally with Product Management, R&D, Sales, and Technical teams to drive customer success and long-term technology adop tion. What You ’ll DoSupport customers through product development, qualification, NPI, production, and process optimi zationTroubleshoot SMT, PCBA, soldering, and electronics assembly process chal lengesLead product evaluations, benchmarking, material characterization, and DOE e ffortsTranslate customer needs and field feedback into product and process improv ementsPartner with global teams to support strategic accounts and long-term desig n winsShare technical knowledge through presentations, customer meetings, and internal collabo rationWhat We’re Looki ng ForBachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, or related technical field10+ years of experience in electronics assembly, PCBA, SMT, soldering materials, process engineering, applications engineering, or technical s erviceStrong working knowledge of solder paste printing, dispensing, placement, reflow, inspection, X-ray, and rework pro cessesExperience with solder material performance testing, including printing, HIP, voiding, SIR, or related characterization m ethodsStrong problem-solving skills with experience using statistical analysis, DOE, JMP, Minitab, or similar toolsAbility to work directly with customers in a consultative, technical advisory ca pacityGreen Belt, Black Belt, or SMTA Certified Process Engineer certification is a plus Why This Role Sta nds Out This is more than a technical support position.
