Registered Nurse (RN)We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in a progressive care unit. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong critical thinking abilities and possess the necessary experience in critical care settings. This role will require the nurse to effectively manage patient care, perform critical procedures, and collaborate with healthcare teams.Scheduled Details12-hour Night Shifts: 1900-0730Schedule: 3 shifts per weekExperience RequirementsMinimum of 2 years of recent experience in Critical Care/ICU or Emergency DepartmentExperience with BiPAP, chest tubes, PICC lines, and drawing of labsDemonstrated ability to work independently, including calling on own consults and conducting codesPreferred experience with open-heart patients on Day 2 or Day 3 post-procedure, including knowledge of pacer wiresPatient-to-nurse ratios are a maximum of 3:1 or 4:1Licensure/Certification RequirementsKansas RN License or Compact RN LicenseCurrent BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications requiredFloating RequirementsMust be willing to float to ICU and all inpatient units, including Med/Surg, Med/Tele, Acute/Tele, and ED, with prior experience.Weekend RequirementsWork every other weekend is required.Holiday RequirementFlexible to work holidays as necessary based on unit needs.Orientation RequirementsAttend the first 2 days of orientation at the designated campusDay 3: Participate in Olathe orientation and Director of Nursing trainingDay 4: Continue with Olathe Director of Nursing trainingDay 5: Complete virtual Epic trainingAdditional NotesThis is a nicotine-free facility.Orientation consists of 8 hours of non-billable time.Current EMR system is EPIC.We operate on a bi-weekly pay period.Cancellation policy allows for one canceled shift per 2-week pay period without cost to the organization or pay to the nurse, with a minimum 2-hour notice required.If you meet the qualifications and are ready to embark on a fulfilling nursing career with us, we encourage you to apply!
