Job Title: Interventional Radiology Technologist Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Interventional Radiology Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Hours (07:00 - 17:30) Experience: 1 Year of Experience Preferred License: State License Required Certifications: BLS, ARRT R Must-Have: - Y-90 Chemo delivery - GI Bleeds TPA - Vein sampling - Phase 2 Recovery - Cryoablations Description: All previous permanent employees of any affiliated facility must be separated from the health system for a minimum of 3 months to qualify for this travel position. First-time travelers are accepted. Orientation hours will be provided. Call will be required for 2 full weekends in a 6-week period and 9 weeknights. Required skills include: Adrenal Angiography Angioplasty Aortography Chemoembolization Embolization ERCP Inferior Vena Cava filter placement Inferior Vena Cava filter removal Inferior Vena Cavagram Liver Biopsy Mesenteric Angiogram Paracentesis Pelvic Angiography Renal Angiography Selective Visceral Angiography Stent Placement Superior Vena Cavogram Thoracentesis Cholecystostomy Cystoscopy Gastrostomy Nephrostomy Renal Artery Stent Placement Ureteral Stent Placement Uterine Arterial Embolization Endovascular Interventions Equipment setup Room circulation including maintaining a sterile field Vascular Closure Systems Percutaneous Stone Extraction Percutaneous Transhepatic Cholangiogram PICC Lines - Care and Maintenance Thrombolysis/Thrombectomy Special Procedures in Interventional Radiology Catheter/drain exchange Internal/external biliary drainage TIPS (Transjugular Intrahepatic Portosystemic Shunt) Central Venous Access/Port Placement Accessing/Managing Ports CPR and Isolation Precautions Sterile Technique Maintaining equipment and stocking supplies Documentation in Electronic Health Records Patient diagnoses include: Biopsies Gastrointestinal issues Genitourinary/Renal issues Peripheral Vascular conditions Pulmonary conditions CT and Endovascular Lab procedures Stent Placement Patient demographics include adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Travelers may be expected to float between nearby facilities. All refusal to float may result in termination of the assignment.
