About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2+ years of Med Surg experience required License: Michigan RN license required Certifications: BLS (AHA) Must-Have: Level II or I Trauma level experience required Description: This is a 60-bed Medical Surgical Unit with mixed acuity and diverse patient populations. Patients consist of post-surgical cases, diverse medical conditions, traumas, strokes, and inpatient hospice. It is a challenging and fast-paced environment with great learning opportunities. Nursing on this unit is patient-centered, focused on patient safety, and delivery of quality care for positive outcomes. We value the contributions of each team member toward providing excellent, evidence-based, and holistic patient care. The unit promotes a healthy work environment through teamwork and positivity. New team members are welcomed and supported during their orientation. Using clinical pathways, patient education, and interactive communication, all aspects of patient care are addressed. This involves collaboration with an exceptional Interdisciplinary Care Team. Key responsibilities include developing, implementing, and evaluating individualized plans of care based on patient assessments. We seek candidates who demonstrate effective communication through collegial relationships and interdisciplinary collaboration. Candidates should also possess enhanced time management skills and the ability to assist team members. This role includes performing other duties consistent with job objectives as directed.
