Lab Technician

Job Title: Lab TechnicianJob Description The Lab Technician is accountable for ensuring the integrity of our product during the manufacturing process and through release. This position requires the use of standardized techniques and operating procedures to conduct and analyze tests on sensitive samples. As a critical member of the Quality Team, this role promotes a culture of Quality and Food Safety. Responsibilities + Exemplify core values of Integrity, Respect, Excellence, Resourcefulness, and Teamwork in daily activities. + Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and HACCP requirements. + Pass all required laboratory training. + Follow established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) accurately and efficiently. + Record, interpret, and enter test results into specified forms and LIMS software accurately and responsibly. + Perform analytical and sensory tests on in-process and finished products precisely and timely. + Identify inconsistencies in data and report to necessary personnel, including escalation when needed. + Receive, handle, and store samples according to SOPs. + Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment, taking corrective action when necessary and keeping records. + Handle, organize, and store chemicals, fluids, and compressed gases as outlined in Safety Data Sheets. + Work independently and in teams across departments. + Complete verifications in testing, standards, equipment, and instruments to ensure accuracy. + Participate in proficiency and collaborative testing. + Communicate with other departments as necessary through various methods. + Show willingness to take on additional responsibilities. + Perform routine tasks with minimal supervision. + Maintain a neat, clean, and professional work area. + Train colleagues as needed. + Perform all duties in compliance with environmental, health, and safety policies. + Assume QC Specialist and Manager responsibilities when required. + Maintain samples of tested products to confirm test results when needed. + Ensure adequate supplies for testing and notify the manager when reordering is necessary. + Continuously compare test results with standards to ensure product specifications are met. Essential Skills + Laboratory and lab experience + Strong computer skills + Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Additional Skills & Qualifications + Preferred analytical laboratory experience Work Environment The position involves working off-shift hours, with possible schedules including a Swing Shift (Monday 7AM-3PM, Tuesday 11PM-7AM, Wednesday 11PM-7AM, Thursday 3PM-11PM, Friday 3PM-11PM) or a 3rd Shift (Monday 11PM-7AM, OFF Tuesday/Wednesday, Thursday-Saturday 11PM-7AM, Sunday 11PM-11AM). Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Chattanooga, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
