The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, working with a lead installer. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The HVAC Installation Assistant will ensure that all systems are installed correctly and function efficiently to meet client satisfaction.ResponsibilitiesAssist lead technicians in the installation of HVAC systems and componentsInstall HVAC systems according to manufacturer specifications and local codesBuild comfort systems by installing air handlers, condensing units, package equipment, duct work, and refrigerant tubingComplete high and low voltage power connectionsPerform system start-up and commissioning, including verifying refrigerant charge, cfm settings and temperature differenceCollaborate with a lead installer to complete installations in a timely mannerMaintain accurate records and service orders of work performed and materials usedKeep tools and company vehicle maintained by following being organized and proactiveEnsure compliance with safety regulations and standards during all installationsCommunicate effectively with clients regarding system operation and maintenance requirementsRequirements2 years experience in HVAC installation preferredAbility to lift heavy equipment, operate tools and equipment safely and effectivelyStrong attention to detail and commitment to quality workValid driver's license with a clean driving recordExcellent communication and teamwork skillsWillingness to learn and take direction from experienced installers and managersFamiliarity with mechanics, appliance repair, field service, property maintenance, welding, or boiler systems is advantageousSchedule8 hour shiftMonday to FridayTypical hours 7am-4pmSupplemental Pay TypesCommission payBenefitsCommissions on Accessory Sales & System Replacement ReferralFull-time Year-Round WorkGreat Place for AdvancementWell Organized Work EnvironmentPaid Technical TrainingTool ReimbursementCompany Provided UniformsOne Week Paid VacationPaid HolidaysHealth InsuranceVision and Dental Insurance401(k) MatchingCompensation: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
