RN - Dialysis

Dialysis Registered Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day shift, 4x10-Hour (07:00 - 19:30) with on-call rotation and every other weekend required.

We provide inpatient hemodialysis services to stable patients in a dialysis unit and to ICU patients who require bedside dialysis. Responsibilities include connecting and disconnecting patients from peritoneal dialysis treatment. We utilize Fresenius machines and offer full orientation for their operation. Note that Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) therapy is managed by ICU nurses, and we do not utilize PIRRT or Tablo machines.

Administer hemodialysis treatment to assigned patients.

Monitor patient vitals and response to treatment.

Perform necessary patient assessments and documentation.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimized patient care.

Educate patients on treatment procedures and care plans.

Minimum of 18 months of recent dialysis experience required.

Active Ohio nursing license or compact state license in hand is mandatory.

Current certifications in BLS and ACLS are required.

Two references from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty applied for are necessary.
