It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, the Secretary of Defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and operational levels to plan ballistic missile defense operations systematically, collectively monitor the battle, and dynamically control networked sensors and weapon systems to achieve global and regional mission goals. C2BMC supports layered missile defense capabilities that enable an optimized response to threats across all ranges and flight phases. It serves as a force multiplier by networking, integrating, and synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and operations, both globally and regionally, to improve performance. C2BMC is essential for all ground and flight tests that verify and demonstrate the current and future capabilities of missile defense systems.This position requires daily technical and programmatic interactions with civilian, military, and contract leadership and technical personnel at MDA Facilities at the MDIOC and VB3, and at LM Offices in Colorado Springs, CO (Voyager and Federal Dr.) and Huntsville, AL. The candidate will engage with the C2BMC (Command & Control, Battle Management, and Communications) Global system to provide technical support to Agile Product Teams and assessments.Essential Functions:Primary point of contact for C2BMC-G. Analysis topics to include interactions with MDIOC technical support provided by other Government-contracted entities, including the Missile Defense Agency (MDA)Schedule lab tests and installation activities; coordinate with MDA BCD-E and the C2BMC-G Integration Team on release installation and integration schedules for the test labsKey stakeholder in test lab build-out design meetings and design reviewsCollaborating with Tech Leads (SE, SWE, Deployment) and the Cross-Functional Product Team (CFPT) Product Owners to organize CFPT plans and workloadsThe goal is to ensure optimal compliance with the CAM-provided Task Order baselines, including forecasting analysis needs, assessing analysis impacts, resolving issues, identifying and implementing efficiencies, and managing and briefing on statusLeading the resolution of technical Analysis issuesExecution of analysis tasks in accordance with program processes.Identification of cost and technical risks to the CAM, TO PM, PO, and FAM, and the development and implementation of effective mitigation strategiesAssist the FAM with resource planningSupport for the JERB, JCCB, ROMB, and other boards as appropriateAssistance with Task Order and customer reviewsSupport the collection and analysis of metrics in accordance with the QMPBasic Qualifications:Please list your current security clearance and IAT or relevant certifications on your resume, if applicable.A Bachelor’s Degree in STEM Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related discipline from an accredited university, along with 8 years of experience; or a Master’s degree (preferred) in a STEM-related field with 6 years of relevant work experience; or a PhD in a related discipline with 4 years of relevant work experienceApplicants must have a current, active in-scope DoD-issued Top Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start with the eligibility to be read on to SCI clearanceWillingness to travel 10% of the time for business needsUnderstanding the integration and testing of Command & Control systems, particularly those relevant to basic architectures used in the BMDS and in space environments, with an emphasis on C2BMC.
