Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (or CFY supervision available)
- Previous experience working in a school setting preferred
- Familiarity with IEP processes, progress monitoring, and data collection
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Ability to build rapport with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with student IEPs
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and support staff to integrate therapy strategies into classrooms
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional insights
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school protocols
- Provide support and resources to teachers and families for student success
