Assistant Store Manager (ASM)

We are looking for a passionate, motivated, and results-driven Assistant Store Manager (ASM) to join our bakery team! The ASM is a key leader in the bakery, partnering with the Bakery Manager to create an exceptional guest experience, develop an engaged team, and ensure the bakery consistently meets operational and financial goals. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who leads by example, takes ownership, and is passionate about creating a positive environment where both team members and guests feel valued.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

• Support the Bakery Manager in leading the day-to-day operations of the bakery.
• Lead by example and consistently demonstrate our company values and expectations.
• Coach, develop, and motivate team members to reach their full potential.
• Assist with onboarding and training new team members.
• Conduct effective pre-shift huddles and communicate daily goals, priorities, and expectations.
• Help create a positive, respectful, and team-oriented work environment.
• Provide feedback and recognition to team members while addressing performance concerns appropriately.

Guest Experience

• Deliver an exceptional guest experience during every interaction.
• Ensure guests are welcomed, thanked, and treated with genuine care.
• Lead the team in creating memorable experiences and consistently delivering our brand standards.
• Resolve guest concerns professionally and work to turn challenges into positive experiences.
• Drive Bundtastic Rewards enrollment and other guest engagement initiatives.

Bakery Operations

• Assist with opening and closing procedures and ensure the bakery is operating safely and efficiently.
• Maintain high standards for cleanliness, organization, food safety, and sanitation.
• Ensure products consistently meet Nothing Bundt Cakes quality and presentation standards.
• Support proper ROX labeling, rotation, and storage procedures.
• Ensure team members follow all operational procedures and brand standards.
• Monitor product levels and communicate inventory needs to the Bakery Manager.
• Assist with daily production and bakery execution as needed.

Sales & Financial Performance

• Help drive sales through exceptional guest service, upselling, catering, fundraising, and outside sales opportunities.
• Monitor daily sales and labor performance and make adjustments based on business needs.
• Assist with managing labor effectively and proactively throughout the day.
• Support bakery goals related to sales, profitability, labor, COGS, and guest satisfaction.
• Help identify opportunities to increase revenue and build relationships within the local community.

• Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to coach, motivate, and hold team members accountable.

• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Comfortable making decisions and taking ownership.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Must be able to lead from the front and work alongside the team when necessary.
• Food service, retail, bakery, or hospitality experience is a plus.

Compensation: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
