Substitute Full-Time CustodianRochester Academy Charter School is seeking out a substitute full-time custodian.Responsibilities to include:Ensure spaces are prepared for the next day by taking out trash, tidying furniture and dusting surfacesSweep and mop floors and vacuum carpetsWash and sanitize toilets, sinks and showers and restock disposables (e.g. soap)Wipe mirrors and windowsMaintain outer premises by watering plants, mowing lawn, cleaning entrancesUtilize insecticides to prevent infestation by dangerous pestsPerform maintenance and minor repairs (replacing broken switches, fixing door handles, minor leaks etc.)Report major damages and oversee repairsSecure facilities after operating hours by locking doors, closing windows and setting up the alarmUndertake occasional custodial and janitorial tasks (shoveling snow from the sidewalk, lifting heavy items, moving chairs etc.)Execute other maintenance and custodial duties as assigned by the facility manager or school leadership to support campus operationRACS offers full benefits to employees including, health and dental benefits. All new employees must be fingerprinted and cleared for employment through the NYS Education Department before employment begins.
