Job Title: Senior Data Architect Location: United States Remote Duration: Long-Term Contract Experience: 14+ Years
Job Summary We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Data Architect to lead enterprise data architecture initiatives and design scalable, secure, and high-performance data platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in cloud, data engineering, data modeling, and modern data architecture.
Responsibilities- Lead the design of enterprise data architecture, data models, and data platforms.
- Define data strategies, architecture standards, governance, security, and integration patterns.
- Design scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, data lakes, lakehouses, and data warehouses.
- Architect cloud-based data solutions using AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Partner with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and architecture guidance to data engineering teams.
- Drive data platform modernization, optimization, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Establish standards for data quality, lineage, security, and governance.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions aligned with enterprise objectives.
- 14+ years of experience in Data Architecture, Data Engineering, or related roles.
- Strong expertise in SQL, data modeling, ETL/ELT, and data warehousing.
- Extensive experience with cloud data platforms and enterprise data architecture.
- Strong knowledge of Databricks, Snowflake, Spark, or similar platforms.
- Experience designing batch and real-time data processing architectures.
- Strong understanding of data governance, security, quality, metadata, and lineage.
- Excellent technical leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong experience with Python/PySpark.
- Experience with Data Lake, Lakehouse, and Data Mesh architectures.
- Knowledge of Kafka or other real-time streaming technologies.
- Experience with Collibra, Alation, or similar data governance platforms.
- Experience leading large-scale cloud migration and data modernization initiatives.
