Description - Responsibilities

• Evaluate results for precision, troubleshoot discrepancies, and execute preventive maintenance and calibration of laboratory equipment.
• Assist in specimen collection and prepare samples for examination as needed.
• Document all processes meticulously, mentor new staff or students, and help maintain the laboratory's quality standards.
• Ensure a tidy, safe workspace and comply with all regulatory and accreditation standards.

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science, or a related allied health degree, plus preparation for ASCP/AMT certification.

Certifications

• ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) must be achieved within one year of employment.
• Maintain current certification throughout your tenure.
